	Vestas Wind Systems A/S is a world market leader within wind energy, with more than than 71 GW of installed capacity. Vestas sees need for a research-based project for mproved understanding of the mechanisms of erosion and dynamics of structures of leading edge structures.
	Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the second largest wind energy company, with 6.3% share of the world wind turbine market. Siemens had a market share of 63% of European offshore wind turbines in 2015. Siemens initiated a study program on leading edge erosion, developing rain erosion whirling arm tests to determine the surface impact fatigue resistance of different coatings and analytical models.
	LM Wind Power is a leading supplier of rotor blades to the wind industry and has manufactured more than 175,000 blades since 1975. LM Wind Power conducted a reliability study of more than 1300 blade leading edges from numerous sites, and defined demanding test protocols to obtain a full understanding of LE erosion.
	Hempel A/S is a world leading coatings supplier. The company employs more than 5,500 people in over 80 countries. Hempel also develops an own protective coatings for wind turbine blades, against erosion.
	Covestro Deutschland AG, is a global leader in the world of plastics with more than 16,000 employees worldwide and sales of €14 billion in 2017. The products include polyurethane (PU) raw materials for coatings, adhesives, specialties and PU foams. Covestro’s products are used in several key industries like transportation, construction, furniture, electronics, sports/leisure, cosmetics, health and others. Covestro is leader in polyurethanes technology, and seeks to direct it to wind turbine technology, using its coatings and elastomer technology, to coat the leading edge.
